California is known for its natural beauty, its culture, and its cannabis culture. While all three are highly valued in the state, cannabis is the drug that attracts the most attentionctl.
On any given day, you can find people stashing hash in their cars and driving away to explore wine country or Joshua Tree National Monument Ouesthetic. You can also find people vaped at coffee shops or hanging out at dispensaries and concentrates bars.
Hollywood
While the drug cultures of California are well known, outside visitors can find it hard to grasp the magnitude of this state’s cultural and artistic diversity.
In fact, visitors may be surprised to learn that none of the major tourist destinations in California have cannabis in their names. However, paired with an expert trip, cannabis tourists can explore some pretty interesting places.
For instance, if you wanted to go to a movie but instead visited a state-of-the-art theater where you could relax and watch a movie with no entrance fees, no one would ever go. The same goes for recreational marijuana shops, which are still forbidden in many parts of the country.
On the other hand, visiting an area where cannabis has never been legalized and seeing what all is like at local pot shops is also an interesting trip.
Cannabis shopping mall
While many people associate shopping with urban populations, cannabis shopping is a medium-sized community in its own right. Several large cannabis shopping centers exist throughout the country, and many of them have a special theme or are located in highly-populated areas.
Many of these centers offer frequent promotions and special deals, making it a great way to stay invested in the industry. Some even have full-fledged retail stores!
If youโre ever looking for a new piece of clothing or souvenir, look into one of these centers! Theyโre known for having good quality products at good prices, always being open, and having some sort of theme to go with.
You can also find quality gifts and products at these events, so you do not need to go to the store yourself.
Santa Barbara
Choosing where to visit in Santa Barbara is half the fun! There are so many places to see, you just have to decide where to go and what to see!
If youโre looking for a history-rich city with a vibrant nightlife and culture, head to State Street, where youโll find several pubs and nightclubs, as well as a variety of cannabis businesses.
If you want a more medical marijuana-specific city, check out Downtown Santa Barbara, which has plenty of historical landmarks related to the pot industry. Finally, if youโre looking for an outdoor experience with great views of the coastline, go up State Street toward Goleta!
These places all have their own reasons for being here and why people travel to them. If you can think of any other California “must-see” attractions that we missed, send us an email at tips@theendoflifecoffee.
San Francisco
San Francisco is a world-wide-known cultural landmark and herald of innovation. Built upon a cable-car system, the city is ethereal with its narrow streets and tall buildings.
With over 100 years of history, San Francisco has seen the highs and lows of society. From the early days of alcohol to modern-day drug use, San Francisco has been an inspiration to the world.
With its famous Golden Gate Bridge spanning across it, San Francisco is instantly recognized by many people. It also boasts one of the largest marijuana dispensaries in California with over 500 locations nationwide!
While visiting San Francisco, you can find many different dispensaries as it is such a large area to cover.
Golden Gate Bridge
The first iconic sight off the highway is the Golden Gate Bridge. Crossing over the water in San Francisco, you are immediately immersed in nature and culture.
Many travelers choose to begin their trip to California by traveling through the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge is a beautiful feat of engineering, and one of the top attractions in San Francisco.
While crossing over the water is a striking sight, it is not the only way to see the bridge. You can also drive across it or take a ferry!
The ferry route is currently unavailable during June and July due to construction, however. If you are planning on visiting California in summer, you should definitely take advantage of these limited access months!
Other ways to see the bridge include taking a ferry from San Francisco to Marin or Napa; walking or driving across; or taking a ferry from Alameda Island in Oakland to San Francisco.
Napa Valley
A staple of most well-established cannabis markets and dispensaries, Napa Valley is a agricultural valley located in Northern California about an hour north of San Francisco.
Napa Valley is famous for its wineries and award-winning agriculture, making it a popular destination for tourism and businesses. Many marijuana smokers travel to Napa Valley to visit one of the many wine estates such as Stags Leap or Oak Barrel Wine Company.
If you are looking to experiment with new drugs or just have a nice day with friends, visiting one of the many wineries in Napa Valley is worth it! Some even offer cannabis tours if you donโt want to leave your place alone.
Another attraction visitors can enjoy in town is the Coacianble Lake Park, which has some great hiking trails.
Lake Tahoe
Holding massive significance in Northern California is Lake Tahoe. Built in the 1920s, this was a gorgeous lake back then.
Today, it remains a beautiful water source and recreation facility. Over 20,000 people visit annually, making it one of the most popular winter sports destinations in the country.
Many prominent individuals have called Tahoe home, including Bob Hope and John D Rockefeller Jr. As a result, it has become quite popular as a cannabis tourism destination. Many resorts offer special outings for cannabis tourists which include an overnight stay at one of their hotels or resorts where they can enjoy themselves while getting some medicinal marijuana relief.
These events are great for introducing people to the area and its medicinal benefits while giving people a chance to re-charge and relax after being active during their trip.
The Redwood Forest
The redwood forest is one of the most recognizable forests in the United Desert. A dense network of old and young Redwood trees line both sides of Highway 4 where it meets Interstate 5 in northern California.
These massive trees are estimated to be over 6,000 years old! Their enormous roots protect deep underground chambers where water can reside year-round.
A trip to this forest is a must while in California as it is only accessible by road. There are no entry points into the forest, only roads leading to them! Tourists visit the redwood forests to see giant redwoods that reach up to 60 feet in height on average.
However, these highly photogenic trees can be hard to find if you are looking for them.
