Indica strains are known for their heavy, long-lasting effects. As a result, this strain is very popular as a recreational drug. This is primarily due to the heavyenberglike qualities of the high.

Like all drugs, there are side effects. Luckily, the majority of these effects are non-intoxicating and short. The length of effect can be what people go for when they want a drug that will last longer than an hour at times.

Granddaddy Purple

Known as the grandfather of modern marijuana strains, Purple is a long and glistening purple plant. This is what it looks like when it grows.

This strain’s nickname comes from the purple tint to its leaves as they swells and gains shape before eventually collapsing in a beautiful purple halo. The aroma is all kinds of smokey, with hints of grapefruit and chocolate.

It may not be discreet, but this strain is one of our top favorites!

How to grow this flower: When looking for a source for this strain, check into nurseries and botanic gardens. Many will sell you pre-planted plants you can connect with a rooting agent and root system, giving you control over how long this plant takes to grow.

Its roots should take at least six to eight weeks to start producing growths, which is when they send out their first shoots.

Purple Urkle

The purple Urkle is a strong and lasting vein sac effecting phenotype. This phenotype increases the effects of the cannabis plant by creating THC and CBD rich veins in the plant.

This effect is achieved by placing a piece of the cannabis plant in a vat of water for several weeks to months as it grows. The process works because it mimics nature, where certain parts of the plant grow thicker roots and other parts sprout marijuana leaves.

These vein effects are what gives cannabis its colors, as some plants have red, yellow, or natural looking black spots. These spots are considered cannabinoid pigments and are what creates the perception of flavors and smells with cannabis.

However, there is a way to not have this effect: When a plant does not have any visible growth during its development, it does not qualified as an Urkle.

Girl Scout Cookies

The Girl Scout cookie is still one of favorite cannabis products. There are many variations of the cookie, so it is easy to find a plant high that tastes just like the original.

This drug strain was created in California in the early 2000s by a marijuana club owner. He developed this strain to be a party drug and distributed it as a concentrate.

At the time, people thought it was funny to call it cookies, so they called it Cookiezens. It is named after these because you can buy small bags of it for around $10. It can take up to days for someone high on Cookiezens to get their high, and for them to happen!

Cookiezens is an indica type drug which means it affects your moods and body functions. When people use this they may feel relaxed, get a nice buzz, or wake up with a good feeling. This is helpful for people who are not high maintenance with their drugs.

Sour Diesel

The first Indica strain ever developed was called Super Silver Haze. This strain was created to provide a longer session of high stimulation.

Since its introduction, the term ‘Sour Diesel’ has been used to describe its Petersburg hashish-like consistency and severity. Its typical effects include a relaxed feeling, increased focus, increased appetite, and an increase in body temperature.

This is why it is so popular on college campuses where heavy drinking is expected. It also makes for a great pre-gaming drug as it increases appetite and focus during an activity like study or work-a-thon.

However, despite its popularity as a recreational drug, Sour Diesel does not always affect everyone the same.
