San Francisco
A small town in the middle of California, San Francisco is a major hub for the state. With a bustling nightlife, historic neighborhoods, and award-winning coffee shops, San Francisco is a force to be reckoned with.
As an attraction for both cannabis users and non-users, there is no way to fully experience San Francisco without trying at least one cannabis dispensary. One of the citys most popular spots is the Palm springs park. Here, visitors can enjoy various activities such as lawn games, childrens play area, fishing pond, picnic area, and grilling area. As if that were not enough, there are several gorgeous creeks that wind their way through the park making it feel like you are back in the woods!
Another sightseeing spot is The Old Town. Here, you will find some old buildings converted into museums and tourist attractions.
Lake Tahoe
While there are hardly any cannabis-infused getaways in California right now, future directors of hospitality will know that Lake Tahoe is a trendsetter.
By including cannabis in the builder’s mix, designers introduced a opportunities to get away with friends and family, indulge in certain activities, and enjoy beautiful surroundings.
Though the average person does not use cannabis regularly, this doesn’t mean they don’t appreciate good pot. A recent study found people prefer pot over alcohol due to its effects on the body.
In fact, one study found people who used cannabis but didn’t say how they did so were 3 times more likely to enjoy their experience than those who admitted it but didn’t describe its effects.
Oakland
Once you’ve smoked your way through Oakland, you need to find a new location to get away. At the end of January, I traveled to Oakland for Work+Life Health & Wellness Conference, and I couldn’t recommend this area of town enough.
As the name suggests, it’s an up-and-coming neighborhood filled with businesses and residential units. There are also plenty of places to park, making this a nice place to stroll around at night.
There are lots of nightlife venues here, so if you’re looking for a more quiet retreat, look into renting a apartment or condo in the area.
San Diego
San Diego is known for its many recreational marijuana dispensaries, so choosing one as a Getaway is bound to be interesting.
While most of them offer strains specific to their properties, some do not. You cannot assume which one will be best based on the property’s intended use.
Some hosts even cook for you and play music while you enjoy your stay. The ambiance is great and it is hard to say goodbye since everything you ate was good!
These Getaways are not for the timidly strong; they are more about relaxation than intoxication.
Santa Barbara
A cannabis infused escape is right around the corner in Santa Barbara, California. The facility is called Santa Barbaraexecute and it’s one of the top cannabis experiences in town.

Emerald Triangle
The California’s largest region known as the Emerald Triangle, or the Kernal Connection, is noted for its large number of cannabis-related businesses. While there are non-cannabis focused businesses too, the district is well known for its cannabis community and business friendly environment.
The area is noted for its high number of marijuana farms and nurseries, making it an ideal location for hemp products companies. Many of these farms operate in partnership, with each producing some of the product and selling it together. This creates a large amount of support from the community, as well as easy access.
Many people choose to visit this region in search of a relaxing getaway or to learn more about agriculture and crop management.
Redwood Forest
A forest is an area dominated by trees, especially large trees. Redwood forests are widespread, and are found in all directions from the coast.
They are very tall trees that can grow up to six feet in diameter at the top. They can live for centuries as they do not grow back up until a new one emerges.
These forests are found in cool climates, like redwood forests. People visit them to admire the LARGE redwoods and nature that surrounds them.
